About Gulf Trade
A trading company based in Muscat, supplying industrial and construction materials since 2012.
Who we are
Gulf Trade LLC was founded in Muscat to connect producers in Oman and the Gulf with buyers in markets that depend on imported steel, fertilizers and building materials.
We are a physical trader. We buy from producers, take title to the goods and sell them to our customers on recognised international terms. Our logistics team arranges vessels, port operations and inland transport, so a single company is responsible for the cargo from the loading port to the buyer's gate.
Our customers include construction contractors, ready-mix and precast producers, grinding units, fertilizer importers, polymer converters and distributors in the GCC, East Africa and South Asia.

How we work
We trade as principal
We buy, hold title and sell. The buyer has one counterparty responsible for quality, quantity and delivery.
Close to producers
Long-standing purchase relationships with mills, refineries and plants give us reliable allocations and early sight of availability.
Freight under our control
Our own chartering and port team means fewer handovers between the contract and the discharge port.
Documents done properly
Contracts, letters of credit and shipping documents are prepared by an experienced back office, so payments are not held up by discrepancies.
How a trade works
Enquiry
You send the grade, quantity, packing and destination. We confirm availability and give an indicative price.
Offer and contract
We issue a firm offer with price validity, then a sales contract under Incoterms® 2020.
Payment terms
Letter of credit, telegraphic transfer or agreed open-account terms for established customers.
Inspection and loading
Independent inspection by SGS or Bureau Veritas at the loading port for quality, quantity and packing.
Shipment and documents
Freight, insurance and a full document set: bill of lading, certificate of origin, quality and weight certificates.
Compliance
Every counterparty, vessel and cargo is screened before a contract is signed. Our procedures cover customer due diligence, sanctions screening against UN, EU, UK and US lists, and anti-money-laundering controls.
We contract on recognised terms, including Incoterms® 2020 and UCP 600 for documentary credits, and we use independent inspection companies at the loading port.
Company profile
Our divisions, products, specifications, trade terms and logistics coverage in one document, in English and Arabic.
